A Choice..

"What do you want to be when you grown up?"

This is a question many can relate with, questions asked by your parents, grandeparents, relatives, friends, teachers and many more.

A Policeman? Maybe, cool to hold a gun.
A Fireman? Maybe, cool to climb a ladder and having a dalmation following you around.
Be rich? Who doesn't want?

Yet who will ever say, "I just wanna be a normal office guy making enough money to let ends meet and have a happy family?"

True happiness doesn't really comes from your job or how much you make, but is about how satisfied you are with life. There are people with all the fortune they have in life, they have the dream job everybody wants, the dream income everybody wants to make yet their life is in a mess.

Bill Gates for example, use to be the richest and now still one of the top richest person has as much fortune as he wants, but with it, he sacrifise his time. A choice he has to make, time for money.

Many of my friends too, have a supporting family, yet they screw up their very own lives because they are just not satisfied and they're also those whose family are rich or at least more well off than others, yet, their family is broken. My family is broken, not rich either, I rather be in their shoes, at least is something I can really apprieciate, but again, maybe not, maybe I just want more in the end.

That may be the reason why Singaporeans are never satisfied with their lives, because we're "Kiasu."

Ultimately, living a life by letting natural takes it cause will be the best way to be truely satisfied with life..

Peace?

My friend once asked, "Why is there still war when there should be peace in this mordern time?"

War exist because there is life, so long humans, animals,trees, plants or even cells, there is a war going on.

Molecular size organism wage war like how the white blood cells resist against the attacks of viruses.

Plants and trees compete with each other for sunlight and water.

Animals compete with each other for title, for territory, to fight for the rights of mating, etc..

As seen in humans too, however, reasons can vary, like tribes fight against tribes for larger territory or the reason why bush fought against Iraq which can be seen as either to stop Iraq's greed or, just because of the american's own fear over what Iraq was capable of.

A more recent example will be the war in Gaza between Philistians and Isreal a fight for the ownership of the land, but also a spritual reason, the promised land by God for Isreal but also the land that was once belonging to the Egyptians.

Bringing down to a smaller scale, we can talk about Racial disharmony in Sri Lanka, between the Sin Halese and Tamils. A racial dispute that has prolonged for a long time, even till now.

Even in a peaceful country like Singapore itself, the very presence of robbery or a murder case is enough prove that peace can never truly be attained.

Domestic voilence, quarrel within family members also justifies that true peace is not presence.

Maybe the world might be more peaceful now, however, total peace might be something that one could waiy for ages before it can be attained.

A question once asked in a GP paper "Religion, does it still apply to people's life?"

I'm a christian personally and I do read the bible and true enough, many of the biblical principles are applicable like;

1. Honour your father and mother

2. You shall not murder

3. You shall not commit adultery

4. You shall not steal

5. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbour

6. You shall not covet (greed for others possession)

Very much applicable to your life aren't it? Other religion, teachings or even your own simple principles will tell you that all these are true, so doesn't religion applys to every individual lifes?

However, there're many examples of people who violates against their very own religious principles, for the sake of their religion or otherwise.
First example, those who goes against their very own religious principle for their very own religion.

JI's, a muslim terrorist group that kills others for the sake of their religion when their very own religion forbids taking lifes, yet, they may consider it as an heroic action.

Second example, those who goes against their very own religious principle for their own sake.

Church pastors and christian members engaging in homosexual activity, adultry, pre-marital sex and even incest which are all clearly scorned by God.

Does religion really applies in people lifes then?

The answer is indefinite.

But one thing I can leave with;

Practise what you preach and live life standing on wha you believe on.

Jingle Bells Jingle Bells Jingle All The Way!! (SHUT UP!!)

Feeling lethargic to blog, so now here it is, the Christmas post!!

Bought a grey stripped shirt and gold coloured skinny tie from topshop which cost me 98 bucks then went out with Scott and Zeus the following day.

Then the grand day!!

Went Suntec first to get my Nokia phone fixed to learn that I have to pay for it >.<>

Great food, song, drama, hip hop performance and best of all!! BALLOONS!!! The Hotel management released thousands of balloons at 0000 hour and everyone started bursting the balloons, with our bare hands!! Yes! Bare hands!!

Cam whored during the dinner and Yan, who was sitting on the same table was like "Eww!! Oh gosh, please stop it! This is what girls do!" LOL!!! so ya..

Eaten like 3 plates of food (as usual) since is buffet style and ya, very full..haha..

Reached home like 2 am drinking a bottle of Wild Turkey (Boubon Whiskey and Cola) and slept the first thing I'm home then sleep.

zzz...

Woke up to find 3 messages!! One of them was from to Hadi to go and watch movie at Vivo city and I gladly oblige.

Waiting for train, board train, change train and finally at Vivo!! (whatever)

Anyway, watched Yes Man, which was quite boring initially but was rather okay after that, nothing much impressive though and neither any re-watching value but overall, not that bad though.

Yesman;

Carl, a simple guy, leading a routine life eventually finding himself losing his friends, his job and even his love., but he attended a seminar, that teaches how to say yes, under the recommendation of his friend which turned his life around.

After seeing Ryan off, leaving six of us, Hadi, Elwyn, Edrik, Ting Wei, Royce and I went Hendersen's wave to take a look and nearly wanting to stay over at there because the wind was so comfortable. (not forgetting Elwyn's shoulder -.-)

Anyway, went out with Serene last friday to hang out and catch a movie and under M****'s strong recommendation, I decided to watch Nick and Norah's infinite playlist.

Went to Queensway shopping centre to get a pair shoes first then went down PS to have our dinner at Xin Wang and she insist of sucking me dry -.-

then went to watch the movie!!

If you're gonna ask, yes, I went to watch movie again, The Day The Earth Stood Still with Tian Shun and so is Bolt with the group of youths from church ( Ting Wei, Wen Hao, Edrik, Elwyn, Jerlynn and Stephanie).

Bolt;

A story about hpw this cute dog, Bolt, who thinks he has super powers eventually got separated from his owner, Peggy, who is a teen style (explains the super power part). With the help of 2 friends, Mittens the cat and Rhino the hamster which is damn cute and not forgetting some pigeons(?)

A show really talking about friendship, quite touching (Stephanie cried, just one tear..lol..) and funny too.

Overall: 4/5

The Day The Earth Stood Still;

Alien trying to wipe out the whole of human kind, very much like The Great Flood where aliens try to wipe out the human race in order to save the earth and ending with how the main character finally pursued the alien that there is still hope for human kind then stopping the armaggadon.

Family love and bonding is the whole idea of the show, people cried actually..lol..

Got my third pair of Levis jean already and just like what I wanted, a black one and I got it for a 50 dollar discount. Was with Dhaslie that day, a friday, and we went to watch 4 Christmases and it's super funny. Full of humor and the story line was great as it really talks about how the 2 couples tries to face their worst nightmare for christmas, their families, want to know more? Watch it, it worth the money.

Well, had Xin Wang for lucnh and we ate until freaking full then went to watch the movie and enjoyed a bottle of booze before that then had dinner at Aston, nice and cheap, should try it. I ordered the Rib Eye (medium rare, the way I like it) together with pasta salad and whip potatoe as a side. One word, brilliant!

It's tough being one, honestly, I've to control my temper, my mouth and that's so unlike me, really diffcult for me plus there's so much things that had being happening recently, family(though I don't treat them like one neither do they), conflict with some people and displease about certain thing (you know what I meant) and definitely all those things, so so many things..

Asked my uncle to sign up for me and he refuses, how sad. saying that there isn't a need and I was like, "What the hell!! Who say there isn't a need?" Ended up signing myself paying 43 bucks a month for it..

How truly important internet is?

Pros:

Firstly, communication
Internet is the most effective method for communication where ever you are since even phones nowadays are also able to surf the net where ever you are.

Secondly, information
The inthernet is loaded with information, updating more and more information every second, where information is less than 3 clicks away.

Thirdly, entertainment
Online News, television, games, everything all in one on a laptop/computer.

however, there are cons too;

Firstly, information overload
Despite the amount of information one may obtain on the internet, one still has to consider the realibility, credibility and usefulness of the information.

Secondly, abuse of network
Hacking into confidential information, cyber bullying, pornography are some of the methods that the internet may be abused.

Thirdly, addiction
Over-gaming on the internet, addiction to pornography may also be a downside for it.

Well, really depends on individuals and this really seems like some kind of GP related question..lol.. And ya, this is what GP is like..

sigh, another 2 more points and I'm eligible for re-exam already, so is like another 4 more marks for either GP, economics or Math or another 3 more marks for Chemistry or physics..
What the hell!! but there's nothing I can do now already, no appeal for re-exam is accepted unless if it mis-calculation..sigh..

Hello, this is a story I came out on my own.. Read and do give your comments and feelings about it.. Thanks!!

Once again stepping out from the corner room of the hotel by the red district, Lisa, 23, a beautiful lady, a body shape, a face any girl every dreamt of becoming, has been walking out of the same cream colored door, on the same cherry colored carpet, in the same checked lift yet with a different guy for the past 7 years.
“Hey! How did it go today?" an abrupt interruption from the same receptionist who looks as thought she has never budge an inch from where she is for the past 7 years.
“Hope to try you out again,” the man stared into her Lisa’s eye, flirting with her.
Lisa’s eyes looked down onto the floor, knowing that her next time will be with another guy. She attempted to avoid the guy by pacing up, yet the guy grabbed hold of her hand, insisting on giving her a ride back..
Lisa sat on the front seat, her head leaning on the window of the black Porsche. Lights from each passing street lamp shone on her face, revealing her beauty, so was her tiredness.
The car stopped in front of some worn down building, in the poorest region of town, an unfitting sighting of such a grand, luxurious car. The man gave Lisa a peck on the cheek and said goodbye. She stepped into the lift slowly leaning herself against the corner of it and tears started rowing down from her eyes.
Lisa stepped out of the lift and stepped in front of her apartment,

she wiped her tears and opened the door.
“Mummy!” a young boy came running towards the door where she stood, her son who she gave birth to on her first pregnancy, 7 years ago.
“It’s 11.11pm and I made a wish that mummy will be back and mummy did!” looking into Lisa’s eyes with an innocent look any 7 year-old would have.
She looked into his eyes with him in her embrace, “Yes! Mummy is back!”
She started to weep, and that night passed along with their tears….
